Welcome to
Amateur FA

The Amateur Football Alliance (AFA) was founded in 1907 and has a long and distinguished history. Two of our 400 affiliated AFA clubs are previous winners of the FA Cup and previous Presidents of the AFA include Sir Stanley Rous.

The Amateur Football Alliance aims to provide a safe environment for everyone to participate in grass roots football by providing opportunities for people to achieve their maximum level of ability as a player, a referee, an administrator or a volunteer irrespective of age, colour, gender and disability.

We also provide the appropriate structures and systems to enable the AFA to control, manage, regulate and promote the game within the County.  This enables us to assist with the development of the game at all levels, ensuring we are able to increase the quality and quantity of participation across the various sections of participation.
