Online Club Affiliation 2017/18

Online affiliation for clubs is now LIVE.

Every club has to affiliate each season. Affiliation is the process by which clubs "register" with their County Football Association.

For the third consecutive year, clubs will be able to use the FA Whole Game Administration System to affiliate to Amateur FA.

What is the Whole Game System?

The Whole Game System (WGS) has been developed to aid the roles of volunteers within clubs and leagues, and is available to use 24/7 using your unique FAN (FA Number) and Password.

What can you do on the Whole Game System?

•    Enter teams in the season’s County Cups
•    Pay online or alternatively request an invoice
•    Add club officials using their unique FAN number
•    Add club players using their unique FAN number

How do I log into the Whole Game System?

As Club Secretary, you will receive a notification from Amateur FA by 15 May, providing you with your unique FAN and access to reset your password (if you don't know it). If you haven't received this notification, please contact us.

Enter https://wholegame.thefa.com into your browser. This will prompt you to log in using your FA Number (FAN) and password.

If you do not know your FAN or password click here to access The FA WGS portal.

The club affiliation portal is available to the Club Secretary, Chairman and Treasurer. Each person must use their unique FAN number and password to log in.

What training materials are available?

Once you have logged into the system, please download the following documents:

•    Click here to download the Club Affiliation Portal Guide, and follow the instructions.
•    Click here to download the FAQs for further assistance.

When do I need to affiliate by?

For season 2017/18, affiliation is required (which includes county cup entries) by Friday 30 June 2017.

Clubs returning their application after this date will incur a late affiliation charge of £20.00 and will miss the deadline for county cup entries.

Where can I purchase Personal Accident Insurance?

It is a mandatory requirement for teams to have the appropriate Personal Accident Insurance in place for each team the club has. The FA's preferred appointed broker is Bluefin Sport.

What is the Club Committee Safeguarding Course?

It is now mandatory for the Chairperson, the Secretary and the Welfare Officer at your club to complete a FREE online safeguarding course.

Affiliation cannot be approved until all mandatory members have completed the course.

Click here to access the Safeguarding Course for Club Committee Members.

What Public Liability Insurance is required?

All clubs are required to have the appropriate Public Liability Insurance in place for affiliation. Don’t worry - this can be purchased through Amateur FA through the portal, as in previous years. If your club already has the appropriate Public Liability Insurance in place, you can upload the certificate through the portal.

Will I be sent an affiliation pack in the post?

For season 2017/18, all affiliations will be done using the online Whole Game System which will aid volunteers and save time on completing paperwork.

We're a new club, what should we do?

Please contact the Governance Team on either Mike.Grimshaw@Amateur-FA.com  or John.Henderson@Amateur-FA.com providing your proposed club name and secretary details (address, email, telephone number) and we will set you up ready to affiliate using the Whole Game System.

What if I have a problem?

Amateur FA will be on hand to offer you any help with any issues that you may have with the Whole Game System. Should you have any questions/queries regarding the affiliation/sanctioning processes, please contact the Governance Team at the AFA Office on 020 8733 2613 or by email:
