Amateur FA is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer

Amateur Football Alliance is seeking a Chief Executive Officer to be responsible and accountable for the strategic planning and development of the organisation and to deliver the priorities and targets of the County Football Association’s Business Plan and The FA’s National Game Strategy.

The successful applicant will be fully responsible for managing AFA’s team of staff and for ensuring the effectiveness of the AFA along with delivering plans and strategies to meet the key priorities and targets of the organisation, for increasing participation at levels of the grassroots game, in addition to running of the game itself, which includes discipline, AFA cup competitions, rules and regulations. 

The role will involve collaborative working. The AFA works closely with a range of partners; the successful applicant will be expected to continue and improve these relationships and forge further ones with new partners to increase AFA income streams.

The applicant will be expected to provide the leadership, personality and skills to take AFA forward in the exciting phase of producing a new business strategy for Season 2019-2023.

The role would suit somebody with a track record of strategic management and/or experience of managing change as well as an understanding of grassroots football and passion for our national game.

Salary: Circa GBP 44K.
