The Amateur FA are proud to announce our new Adult County Cups Charity Partner - Movember
Movember is the leading charity dedicated to changing the face of men's health in the UK and around the world. The charity recognises that globally, men are dying six years earlier than women due to common health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide. Movember is aiming to reduce the number of men dying too young by 25% by 2030.
Today, September the 10th, is World Suicide Prevention Day. Twelve men a day take their own lives in the UK and three out of four suicides are by men, making it the biggest killer of males under 45. We all want more time with our dads, brothers, partners, mates, and our sons. Time for more conversations, more catch-ups, more of what life’s all about. Now is our time to change the face of men’s health.
This year, for our Male Adult Cups, Movember is the charity we are supporting. We are not only raising money at our cup finals, but throughout the year, especially November!

At the Amateur FA, we want to raise as much awareness as possible about the work Movember do. This year, Movember is back for its 12th year and we want YOU to get involved and raise some money!
All you have to do is sign up using the link below with your team/club and start raising money.

Anyone wanting to get involved should start with a cleanly shaven face on Friday 1st November. After that, it’s as simple as letting their moustache grow for the rest of the month. Those taking part can ask friends, family, or colleagues to back their Mo by donating. Funds will be invested in these key areas: prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.
Winners Prize
The club or team who raises the most money by December 9, 2019 will receive:
- Free use of the Arsenal in the Community's pitch for a day/evening
