The Amateur FA is pleased to announce that Football Services Manager, Melanie Armstrong has been promoted to Deputy Chief Executive Officer (Deputy CEO) from 1^st February 2023.

Mel continues with her responsibilities managing the Football Services department, as Deputy Senior Safeguarding Lead (DSSL), and acquires more responsibilities in the running of the Amateur FA.

Jason Kilby, CEO, said “Having worked with Mel for the last few years, I’m really pleased she is becoming the Deputy CEO. Mel provides invaluable support to me in my role and has earned the promotion within the organisation”.

Board Chair, Robert Hanison said, “I am delighted that Melanie has accepted the role of Deputy CEO. I look forward to working with her, and am very grateful for the work she has done, and will continue to do in the new role”.

Mel joined the Amateur FA from HMV in June 2019, and has been instrumental in improving the operation of the Amateur FA’s customer service and passing the FA’s Safeguarding Operating Standards Assessments.
