CHANNEL THAT INNER LIONESS

Women's football has increased in popularity over recent years and is now the third largest team sport behind only men's football and men's cricket.

It is our aim to engage with female players whatever their age or ability and to signpost them to opportunities that are right for them.

Please see below some of the programmes and initiatives available to women within the AFA region:

  • 3 Lions / School – Club link coaching courses
  • The FA Charter Standard Award
  • Female only Coaching and Match Official courses
  • Female Coach Mentoring Scheme
  • Female Coaching Clinics
  • Futsal
  • Women’s County Cups

There are three Capital Women's Cups running throughout the region, for juniorsintermediates and seniors.
