Sutton United to Host Junior and Intermediate Finals

The winners of the Junior and Intermediate Capital Women’s Cups will be decided this weekend, as both finals get underway at Sutton United on Sunday 29 April.

Kicking off at 2:00pm, the Junior Capital Women’s Cup final will be competed between AFC Phoenix Reserves and South London Laces, before AFC Wimbledon Ladies Reserves go head-to-head with Colne Valley Ladies First in the Intermediate final from 4:30pm.

South London Laces will be looking to carry momentum from their emphatic 8-1 victory over Headstone Manor in the semi-finals, whilst AFC Phoenix head into the final off the back of a 2-1 win over Islington Borough in the last round.

Meanwhile, the Intermediate final is also shaping up to be keenly-contested fixture. AFC Wimbledon eased past West Ham Ladies’ Development Squad in the semi-finals, but Colne Valley needed extra-time and penalties to book their place in Sunday’s final when they faced Tottenham Hotspur Ladies Thirds in March.

Amateur FA would like to wish all four teams involved the very best of luck.
