Develop Your Coaching Skills - Two New Workshops Announced
Amateur FA is pleased to announce details of two new coaching workshops for AFA affiliated clubs, which take place in October and November this year.
Development v Winning Workshop – The Cost of Winning
Date: Monday 1 October 2018
Time: 7pm-9pm
Venue: Arsenal Hub (adjacent to Emirates Stadium), 56 Benwell Road, London N7 7BA
Cost: FREE
This workshop will look at development v winning and creating the right playing environment for your club. FA Coach Mentor, Ray Lee, will be delivering the session and looking at:
• How to balance player development and winning in your club
• Club values and philosophy
• When do you coach to win
Age Appropriate Coaching Workshop
Date: Monday 5 November 2018
Time: 7pm - 9pm
Venue: Arsenal Hub (adjacent to Emirates Stadium), 56 Benwell Road, London N7 7BA
Cost: FREE
This workshop will look at creating the right coaching and match day environment for your players, based on the age group you are working with. Kevin Green, FA Regional Coach Mentor Officer for London, will be delivering the workshop and looking at:
• Effective ways of communicating with your players
• The importance of the fundamentals of coaching
• Planning for the long term
This session is primarily aimed at youth coaches but is open to all to attend.
