The FA provided a detailed account of the proposed sale of Wembley Stadium, the finances involved and the plans to distribute those funds back into grassroots football at its ‘Leaving a Local Legacy’ conference at St George’s Park on Tuesday 9 October.

In addition to a Q&A session with England manager Gareth Southgate, The FA’s Chief Finance and Operations Officer, Mark Burrows, was present alongside representatives from the grassroots game and Alkit Patel, The FA’s Head of Facility Investment, who talked through plans for the redistribution of funds and answered questions from attendees.
