Super 5 League Continues to Grow
Super 5 League was started in 2017 to cater for the growing appetite for women's recreational football in London.
Based at Mabley League in Hackney, the league by the end of 2017 had grown to 12 teams, attracting teams from across the Capital.
With a growing reputation and more females looking for a format of football that suited their lifestyle, by 2019 Super 5 had 40 teams and wasn't stopping there.
Despite covid-19 bringing an abrupt stop to grassroots football, the league was ready for the return of football and currently boosts 48 teams playing across 6 divisions.
Chloe Kelly, Manchester City and England player was also recently announced as an ambassador for the league. And with plans to expand across London, it is an exciting time for women's football in London. Watch this space!
