Referee summons player

University Transfers

Moving to a new county?

Don't let a new location affect your refereeing career.

Every season thousands of referees up and down the country leave home and start their time at university and this is often in an unfamiliar area and county.

Whether you are entering or leaving the county, Amateur FA aim to make this transition as smooth as possible so that you can continue your refereeing activity with little disruption.

Continuing refereeing with a new County FA offers students the fantastic opportunity to integrate into both the local football community and university life whilst also making money to support studies and social activities. This process is remarkably simple and we are on hand to offer guidance.

Referees moving to the Amateur FA region will have plenty of opportunities within the grassroots game and the university itself. If you have secured your university place and want to affiliate with the Amateur FA, please contact a member of our team.
